Apple Ridge Academy, 17612 W. National Ave., New Berlin, will be hosting a training session for teachers and parents on the "Sign with your Baby" program by Dr. Joseph Garcia. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to explore the benefits of teaching young children sign language, and a jump start on beginning the process.
Suzette Garay, Ph.D., owner of Baby Signs 4 U, LLC and a Certified Sign Language Instructor, will conduct an overview of the program, and provide instruction on how to begin curriculum implementation.
All of the teaching staff at Apple Ridge Acadmey will be attending the training, in preparation for full implementation in the classrooms of the center, beginning with children 4 months old - 5 years old. They are excited to be able to offer a unique, special component to their classroom planning, and look forward to teaching the children in their care American Sign Language!
The training session will be held at Apple Ridge Academy, 17612 W. National Ave, New Berlin, on March 15, 2010, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and the cost is $25.00/person.
