Local New Berlin Woman Committed to Susan G. Komen Chicago Walk

Feb. 6, 2010 | 0 comments

I'm reaching out to my New Berlin Community to help support my wife in her goal to raise $3000 for Susan G. Komen Foundation. My wife has committed herself to do attend the 3Day 60 mile walk in Chicago during August. This is a very important event for her since her mother lost the battle to breast cancer in Sept. 2008. It's important to me because my wife and my daughter are at higher risks of getting this terriable disease.

Camilla(her mom) was diagnosed in 1992 with cancer and went through breast removal, chemo, and a bone marrow transplant. She was Cancer free for 10 years! In those 10 years she also donated her own bone marrow to a young boy that is still alive today. However, because of the new drugs and treatment back in 1992, it was determined that it caused pulmonary fibrosis. In October 2007 she had a double lung transplant. Called a “success”, but the lungs just didn’t take well to Camilla’s body.. In Sept. 2008 she passed away at home surrounded by family.

Please dontate to her page whatever you can to help fight Breast Cancer. For your donation we will be adding your name to a butterfly that the tent gets decorated with in Chicago. Camilla's Crusaders won first place last year for tent decoration out of 1000+ tents. You will also be getting emails with photos and updates. There will also be an awesome time coming up on Febuary 13, at Miss Pole in New Berlin. Learn to pole dace/aerobics and donate to Camilla's Crusaders. The team will also be doing a raffle/auction on May 15, at Jacobs Pub, tons of cool things will be there. If you can't make these activities please donate to my wife's page at http://www.the3day.org/site/TR/2010/ChicagoEvent2010?px=4586985&pg=personal&fr_id=1463&et=2JYVw41niyqNyEjOXxwz_A..&s_tafId=237603 or you can search for her name "Tammy Schultz" on Camilla Crusaders team. Whatever little you can donate helps all women and also to find the cure! Thank you New Berlin!
