Apple Ridge Academy Teacher Promoted to Assistant Director

July 26, 2010 | 0 comments

The staff and administration of Apple Ridge Academy, 17612 W. National Avenue, New Berlin, would like to congratulate Mara Amrhein on her promotion to the position of Assistant Director! Mara has been part of the teaching staff at the Academy since it opened on February 1, 2010.

Her educational qualifications include a BA degree from Providence College, Early Childhood Education I & II, School-Age and Infant/Toddler certifications, Center Director and Center Administrator certification and numerous hours of additional professional development and training in the field of Early Childhood Education. Mara will be attending WCTC in the fall to further her education towards the Wisconsin Professional Credential for Child Care Administrators.

Mara’s previous experience includes teaching in Preschool and 2 year old classrooms, as well as owning her own in-home child care center.

When asked what she enjoys most about her chosen profession, Mara replied, “I find it extremely rewarding to work with children! I love the idea of helping families shape their children and watching them grow every day. I also find that in teaching, the children challenge me to learn about myself. There is nothing more heart-warming than a child’s innocent smile and unconditional love!”

Mara continues to teach in the Preschool classroom, and is a valuable member of the professional staff at Apple Ridge Academy. Her passion for teaching children is always evident, as is her desire to work closely with families to provide the best educational experiences possible!

Please feel free to stop in during the Preschool & 4K Open House night on Thursday, August 5, 6:00pm – 7:30pm, to meet Mara and the other wonderful teachers at Apple Ridge Academy!
