The 3rd Annual "National Dash" 5K Run/2 Mile Run/Walk will once again be held on National Avenue in New Berlin before the New Berlin 4th of July parade. This event last year attracted hundreds of participants from all over the state and from several other states as well. The Dash is organized by the New Berlin Junior Woman's Club (NBJWC) as a fundraiser and community event. All proceeds will be donated by to the community through the club's annual disbursment committee.
The Dash is a very popular run with the serious runners because of the chip timing and high qualty running shirts that are included. The casual walkers love it too because it is a family-friendly event where strollers are welcome. All participants will enjoy post-race refreshments, have a chance to donate used athletic shoes to a good cause, and can stay for the parade afterwards.
For more details about the Dash and registration forms, please see the NBJWC website at www.newberlinjuniors.org or www.active.com. All race results will be posted immediately after the event and also at the NBJWC website.
