Basketball results: Week 10

Girls Juniors

Rockets (New Berlin Fire) 60, Timberwolves 6: Both teams played a great game.  The Rockets team overshadowed the Timberwolves in height which made for many rebounds that resulted with points in their favor.   Rocket rebounds included Rachel Rasmussen with 13, Jenna Linssen with 10, Elise Arnas with 9, Ruwandi Wijenayake with 6 and Morgan Lynch with 4.  Rocket steals for the game included Elise Arnas with five, Jenna Linssen and Morgan Lynch each had one.  Scorers for the Rockets were Jenna Linssen with 16, Elise Arnas with 15, Morgan Lynch with 10, Rachel Rasmussen with 10, Ruwandi Wijenayake with 7, and Lizzi Lovdal with 2. Awesome job girls, you rocked the house!

 

Boys Minors

Suns 18, Lakers (ITR Inc.)10: The Suns came out with intensity on defense to take an early lead.  Offensively Nathan Lawton and Noah Birenbaum each had 6 points, while Matthew Prodoehl and Seth Luckman each chipped in with 3 points each.  The defense was led by Nick Herrman who had 2 steals and played with great hustle.   The rest of the team played great man to man and help defense, contributing in those efforts were Leo Li, Eli Oldenburg, Kyle Dorshorst,Tommy Kuhnz, William Haung, and Ethan Vento.  Thank you to all the Suns players for their outstanding effort, hustle and determination throughout this season to finish 7 - 3.  Great job guys!

 

Boys Majors

Celtics 64, 76ers 21:  The Celtics beat the 76ers 64 - 21 and finished the year at 6-4 taking second place in the Boys Majors Division this season.  Lukas Lauer led a balanced scoring attack with a career high 12 points and Mike Hilger added 10 points for the Celtics.  Ethan Raposa led the 76ers with 8 points.
