Basketball Results: Week 9

Girls Juniors

Rockets (New Berlin Fire) 24, Supersonics 4:  From the starting Jump Ball to the end of the game the Rockets ran hard up and down the court to create breakaway scoring opportunities.  Rocket steals for the game included Monica Lauerman with five, Elise Arnas and Jenna Linssen had two each.  At the end of the first half, the score was 14-2.  The Rockets maneuvered to pass the ball to their open teammates, and lead  the game in rebounds.  Lead rebounders for the Rockets were Rachel Rasmussen with 13, Ruwandi Wijenayake, Jenna Linssen and Elise Arnas with 7 each and Kayla Moran with 6.  Leading scorers for the Rockets were Jenna Linssen with 9, Elise Arnas with 6, Rachel Rasmussen with 4, Kayla Moran with 3 and Monica Lauerman with 2.

 

Boys Minors

Suns 18, Magic 16:  The Suns came out on top in a very competitive game.  Seth Luckman led the team with 8 points, Matthew Prodoehl had 4points and Nathan Lawton and Noah Birenbaum each had 2 points.  Seth Luckman's key steal in the last minute clinch the victory.  The defense was led by Kyle Dorshorst who played great man to man and help defense.  Leo Li, Nick Hermann, Eli Oldenburg, Tommy Kuhnz, William Haung, and Ethan Vento also contributed on defense with an outstanding effort, hustle and determination.. 

 

Boys Majors

Celtics 43, Bucks 42:  Cal Bush, David Franke, Alexander Gress, Jordan Neuens, Josh Neuens, Zac Nordstrom and Zach Stoltenburg all had key contributions in the Celtics 43-42 win over the Bucks.  Mike Hilger led all players with 15 points and Keenan Mooney added 9 for the Celtics.  Chamika Wijenayake, Luke Lindemann and Billy Krager all scored 8 points for the Bucks.
