New Berlin Eisenhower girls basketball
The Lions quickly put their first loss of the season behind them by punishing host South Milwaukee, 58-15, Friday.
Six days after falling to Pewaukee, Eisenhower outscored South Milwaukee, 33-2, in the first half.
Both Nicole Bauman and Amy Borkenhagen nearly outscored the Rockets themselves with 13 points each, and Anna Hahn added 10 for the Lions (15-1, 12-1).
New Berlin West girls basketball
Stephanie Turner's big weekend helped the Vikings remain hot.
Turner scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in West's 51-49 double overtime victory at Sheboygan North, one day after scoring a game-high 16 points in a 79-14 drubbing of visiting Shorewood.
The wins bumped the Vikings to 11-6 overall, 9-5 conference. They have won six of their last seven games.
Hailey Kunz added 11 points in the nonconference win over North after scoring 12 against Shorewood and a game-high 15 in West's 54-40 road loss to Pewaukee on Feb. 2.
Emelia Roso had a season-high 10 against Shorewood.
Muskego girls basketball
The Warriors were unkind from the start to a pair of recent Southeast Conference opponents.
Muskego outscored Kenosha Tremper and Racine Park by a combined 42-4 mark in the first quarters of a 57-20 home win over Tremper on Feb. 2 and a 55-23 victory at Park on Friday.
The victories, and Racine Case's loss to Franklin on Feb. 2, have put the Warriors alone atop the Southeast Conference standings at 9-1 (13-3 overall), one game ahead of Case (8-2).
Alyssa Colla scored a game-high 13 points against Park, and Katie Ellerson added 11, one night after she matched Tremper's total with a game-high 20.
New Berlin West boys basketball
The Vikings' conference title hopes took a hit with a 58-55 home loss to Pewaukee on Feb. 2.
Chad Mathwig, who scored a team-high 15 points, got a decent look at a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but it bounced off the back rim as time expired.
West's Cody Tomsak had 11 points and Mark Ropella 10. Pewaukee's Tyler Hanson had a game-high 18, including key free throws down the stretch.
The loss was West's second to Pewaukee this season and dropped the Vikings one-half game behind the Pirates in the Woodland Conference Blue Division standings as of Monday. Entering this week, Pewaukee stood alone in first at 11-2; West was 11-3. Neither squad faces a team with a winning record the rest of the way.
The Vikings bounced back with a 56-54 overtime road win at Shorewood on Friday.
Mathwig had a game-high 29 points to help offset big nights from Shorewood's Deion Jackson-Body (25) and Chase Miller (14).
Muskego boys basketball
The Warriors gave undefeated Racine Park a scare Friday, but could not overcome rough second and third quarters and lost, 62-52, at home.
Muskego jumped out to a 23-13 lead after one quarter but was outscored, 32-13, the next two.
Park's Josh Cameron scored a game-high 25 points. Muskego's Max Miskowiec (12) and Jake Pope (10) combined for 22 to lead the Warriors (7-11, 5-5).
Danny Frawley had a game-high 18 points as the Warriors picked up a 50-39 win at Kenosha Tremper on Feb. 2.
