Basketball Results: Week 7

Girls Minors

Nets (New Berlin Police) 22, Raptors 14:  The Raptors came out quick and scored first, but the Nets came back with 10 points from Gabrielle Majinski, 8 points from Maria Sloufis, and 2 points from Sarah Leitinger.  The whole team had a great defensive effort.

 

Girls Juniors

Rockets (New Berlin Fire) 27, Trailblazers 14:  What a great game both teams played, very strong defensively, with a lot of teamwork and good passes.  Rocket steals for the game included Jenna Linssen with seven, Elise Arnas with four, and Morgan Lynch and Ruwandi Wijenayake with two each.  At the end of the first half, the score was close with Rockets leading 12-8.   The Rockets rebounded well with Jenna Linssen and Rachel Rasmussen bringing down 8 rebounds each, Elise Arnas  5, Ruwandi
Wijenayake and Morgan Lynch with 3 each.  Scorers for the Rockets were Jenna Linssen with 10 points, Elise Arnas with 5, Ruwandi Wijenayake and Morgan Lynch with 4 each and Kayla Moran and Rachel Rasmussen with 2 each.  Great job girls!
