Fusion (New Berlin Police) 3, Kixx (New Berlin Fire) 4:  Team Fusion came up just a bit short today in a tough game losing 3-4.  Both teams played intense defense.  Bill Dowling scored early and Ty Deckert kicked in two more.  Christopher Louey was fantastic in goal making spectacular plays to help keep his team in the game.

Girls Minis

Comets 8, Eclipse 3:  It was a strong team effort by Eclipse in their 4th game, but they were held to just 3 goals, 2 by Melisa Erman including a goal on a free kick and one by Julia DeAngelis.  The goal was protected by Mikaela Bowers, Shelby Burge, and Sydney Schopf who successfully blocked a free kick

Blitzz (New Berlin Fire) 2, Express (Subway) 4:  Express captured their third victory of the season against Blitzz winning 4 to 2.  Scoring for Express were # 10 Taylor Rawski, # 9 Maggie DeRome and #2 Michelle DeRome.  Supporting the offense was the solid goal tending by Taylor Rawski and Melissa DeRome.

Blast 7, Comets 1:  The New Berlin Girls Minis team the Blast stayed undefeated by beating the Comets by a score of 7-1.  It was another good all-around team effort by the Blast.  Goals were scored by Camylle Lapp, Emma Hammarstrom, and multiple goals by Madelyn Smith and Grace Soiney.  Tough defense was played by Lauren Bennett, Andrea Kuhne and Lily Wergin.  Both teams showed great teamwork and effort.

Boys Juniors

Surge (New Berlin Eagles) 4, Tornados 6:  The Tornados held onto a narrow margin ahead of the Surge to achieve a 6 to 4 final score.  The Tornados benefited from solid team drives that led to goals by Ben Schaefer and Brady Szukalski.  The scoring drives were put together with assists by Ryan Buchholz, Ben Kizaric, Kyle Miller, and Robert Snyder in Forward positions, along with stiff defense provided by Sam Gates, Aaron MacDonald, Matthew Satula, and Robert Snyder.

Storm 15, Strikers (New Berlin Fire) 0:  The Storm improved to a perfect 4-0 on the season with a 15-0 win over the Strikers. On offense the team was lead by Ray Glass who scored his 1st goal of the season. Mitchell Primus added 5 goals, Aaron Reinhardsten had 4 goals, Dominic DeLuca added 3 goals, Brian Li had 1 goal and Jack Johansson also had a goal. This was the first shutout of the season for our defense in which we rotated 14 different times at goalie. Great job boys!!

Girls Juniors

Invaders 4, Kixx 1:  The Invaders had 28 shots-on-goal and held the Kixx to only 12 as the Invaders kicked by the Kixx 4 to 1. The Invaders jumped out to a 3 to 0 first-half lead and never looked back. The Kixx started the second half with a flurry of shots-on-goal but was unable to score until late in the half when a hard shot to the right upper corner, which was partially deflected by the Invader goalie, sneaked its way in. The Invaders quickly came back and scored again to maintain their 3 point margin.  Anastasia Hoeg led all scoring with 2 goals followed by Anna Evans and Raven Stiller each with one. Evans, Hoeg, Samantha Holter and Cayley McKowen each provided assists.  Lauren Meyers led the Invaders’ defensive effort stopping 18 Kixx drives followed by Samantha Holter with 15; Hannah Plockelman and Becky Wyco each with 13; Alexandra Langston with 10; Lily Berg with 8; Anna Evans with 7; both Cayley McKowen and Jenna Mielke with 6; Raven Stiller with 3; Sophie Gosetti and Gina Viola each with 2 and Anastasia Hoeg with one.  Anastasia Hoeg, Hannah Plockelman and Lili Berg all played strong in goal with 7, 3 and 1 saves respectively.

It was a tough loss for the Kixx; however, we played extremely well on the goal keeping of Caitlyn Woldanski and Anna Hocum, as well as the offensive attack of Jenni King, who scored our only goal, and Hannah Winter.

Wave 6, Voltage (New Berlin Police) 2:  A slow start for the Wave, having to come back from an early deficit.  Sam Nigbur had 1 goal, Matt Szpytma 2 goals, and Tyler DuCharme 3.  Greg Lawton and Ross Wick played great in goal.  Justice Dodd, Mason Short, and Greg Lawton were good on offense, and Eray Erman, Zach Hackbarth, Zach Luccas, and Nick Rydelwicz had a good defensive game.
