The Warriors remained unbeaten and extended their shutout streak to eight straight games.

Four different Muskego players scored in a 4-1 road win at Racine Horlick on Sept. 29 as the Warriors improved to 5-0 in the Southeast Conference.

Riley Weiner, Paul Palmisano, Tyler Metcalf and Dan Czerwinski scored one goal each and Weiner added two assists.

The Warriors also beat visiting Kettle Moraine, 2-0, Oct. 1. Weiner and Dahl scored second-half goals as Muskego improved to 17-0-1.

The Lions' bid for their first Woodland Conference title since 1997 remained intact entering the final week of the regular season thanks to two league shutouts Sept. 28 and 30.

Nick Dobernig scored three times in Eisenhower's 5-0 home win over St. Thomas More on Sept. 30, two days after he scored three second-half goals in a road win over Cudahy/St. Francis. Those victories improved the Lions to 8-1 in league play, one match behind South Milwaukee with two remaining entering this week.

The Lions, 14-4-1 overall as of Monday, also posted their sixth straight shutout with a 1-0 victory at Mukwonago on Friday. Tyler Nickerson assisted Evan Krause in the 31st minute.

Despite four touchdown passes from Dominique Bledsoe, the Vikings were unable to hand Pewaukee its first loss of the season Friday.

Bledsoe completed 15 of 24 passes for 241 yards with two interceptions in New Berlin West's 42-27 road loss that dropped the Vikings to 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the Woodland Conference.

Bledsoe gave the Lions an early 7-0 lead with a 58-yard touchdown pass to Jesse Riehle before Pewaukee scored the final 22 points of the first quarter and never trailed again.

Bledsoe connected with Chad Mathwig for two scores in the second quarter, one from 30 yards out and the other from 13, and threw his final touchdown pass of the night to Chris Treptow with 4 minutes, 10 seconds left in the third quarter.

Mathwig finished with six catches for 83 yards for the Vikings, who remain one win shy of qualifying for the WIAA playoffs for the first time since 2006. New Berlin West hosts St. Francis (1-5, 0-5) at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Vikings completed their divisional play in the Woodland Conference Blue Division with a perfect 6-0 record by sweeping the visiting Cudahy Packers on Sept. 29.

In the Vikings' 25-7, 25-8, 25-11 win, Rebecca Gasper and Martha Radke had nine digs each to lead all players, and Gasper had a match-high three blocks. Casey Luehrs nailed six aces, Kellie Shaw led the defense with 10 digs and Cayla Golsteyn made 17 assists.

The Vikings could not keep up that momentum, however, and lost a league crossover match at Greenfield, 25-20, 26-24, 25-18, Oct. 1.

No team could match up with the host Greendale Panthers at the Woodland Conference Tournament on Sept. 29-30, so the Lions were happy to settle for second.

Eisenhower finished second at three flights and tallied 32 team points. Whitnall was third with 28. Greendale, which won all seven flights without losing a set after going undefeated in league duals, had 56.

Fourth singles player Hanna Muche and two doubles teams - Megan Saksefski and Reina Maruko at first doubles and Anna Hahn and Andrea Ganske at third doubles - all were runners-up in their respective flights for the Lions.

Allie Kleefisch and Lauren Slonac, Eisenhower's first and second singles players, were third and the second doubles team of Molly Smith and Becky Dobrzynski were fifth.

Junior Brittany Endisch lived to see another day when she shot a 96 at the Kenosha Bradford WIAA Regional at Maplecrest Country Club on Sept. 30.

Endisch shot a 50 on the front nine and a 46 on the back and was one of only three players to break 100. The others were Franklin's Taylor Chase (90) and Taylor Wenzel (94).

Endisch advanced to the Racine Case Sectional at Ives Grove Golf Course on Oct. 6, after deadline.

Muskego placed sixth with a 413; the top four teams advanced to the sectional as did the top four individuals on non-qualifying teams. To advance to the state tournament, to be held Oct. 12-13 at University Ridge in Madison, Endisch would have to place among the top three individuals not on state-qualifying teams at the sectional.

In the 91st minute, Ross Fieldbinder snapped a 1-1 tie in the second overtime to give host Greendale a narrow win over New Berlin West on Sept. 30.

The Vikings took the lead in the second half when Brock Shilling passed a great ball to Billy Cameron, who found a little room by moving the ball off to his right before striking a nice shot into the far post.

But the Panthers' Mitchell Playseck tied it up with a penalty kick in the 69th minute and Fieldbinder's shot won it.

New Berlin West, which began this week 12-6-1 overall and 5-4 in the Woodland Conference, defeated visiting Greenfield, 2-0, two days earlier behind goals from Spyro Tselentis and Tom Herrick and a defensive effort that did not allow a shot on goal.

Molly Brunn's second-place effort at second singles highlighted the Warriors' two-day Southeast Conference Tournament run Oct. 1 and 3.

Brunn made it to the championship match after beating Racine Park's Annie Browenwell and Kenosha Tremper's Garette Gesser. She needed three sets to get past Gesser and reach the finals where Brunn fell to Trina Capelli of Kenosha Bradford, 6-1, 6-0.

First singles player Amy Upthagrove and third singles player Kristen Furry were both third for the Warriors, who finished fourth in the team standings behind Kenosha Tremper, Kenosha Bradford and Franklin.

The Warriors also closed their dual season with a 6-1 home win over Racine Case on Sept. 28. Muskego finished 4-3 in league play.

The Vikings won all 12 events and finished second eight times in a dominant, 124-57 win at Cudahy on Sept. 30.

Hausmann was part of the winning 200 medley relay, along with Lindsey Rodenkirk, Stephanie DeLaPena and Leah Kritter (2:05.89) and Wannamaker anchored the 200 free relay of Jennifer Mathias, Rodenkirk and Kritter (1:51.55). Hausmann and Wannamaker were also part of the victorious 400 free relay with DeLaPena and Sydney Hider (4:01.91).

Emily Yanny's match-high 14 kills and five aces helped the Lions to a three-game sweep over visiting St. Thomas More on Oct. 1.

Andrea Ruiz had 19 assists and Lindsay Brown made 13 digs for the Lions, who improved to 19-5 overall and 6-2 in the Woodland Conference with the 25-19, 25-11, 25-17 victory.

Eleven different Kenosha Bradford players combined for 438 rushing yards as the Red Devils handed the host Warriors their worst defeat of the season.

Bradford's Gino DiBartolo rushed 11 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns, including three in the first quarter, to lead his team to a 62-19 victory, Muskego's 12th consecutive loss dating back to last season.

The Warriors (0-6 overall, 0-4 Southeast Conference) turned the ball over six times (four interceptions, two lost fumbles).
