Public Forum:
The $10,000 donation to the New Berlin Food Pantry from the eliminated New Berlin schools custodial staff union is very generous and does not surprise me knowing what a caring group of employees the custodians were in the New Berlin schools. I had worked many years in the district and experienced their dedication, support and pride they contributed to the schools, the district, its employees and most importantly, the students. This gesture also shows their sense of community and value for the families that are in need of the food pantry.
The New Berlin School District, its employees, students and families will experience a void at their schools without their knowledgeable, dedicated and valued custodians.
I thank them for all the support and positive examples they gave my students over the years in New Berlin schools.
