Muskego police chief to retire at end of year

Oct. 29, 2012

Muskego Police Chief Paul Geiszler announced he will retire at the end of the year after more than 30 years with the Police Department, six of them as its chief.

"He served Muskego well and we're proud of his many contributions to making Muskego a good place to live, work and play," said Edward Gleason, chairman of the Muskego Police and Fire Commission that will meet Tuesday to discuss how to go about finding a replacement.

"He was a good steward of our funds and provided fine leadership," Gleason said. "We'll miss him."

Geiszler succeeded John Johnson as chief of police after Johnson became Muskego mayor.
