A 44-year-old New Berlin man who lost control of his pickup truck and plowed into a home in the 20500 block of National Avenue last week was charged with seventh-offense drunken driving by the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office.
Krag Gibbs was also charged with drunken driving causing injury because the home's occupant was hurt in the accident.
If convicted, Krag could face a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine, six years in prison, or both.
The home was damaged extensively in the accident, which occurred shortly before 1:50 p.m. Oct. 17.
According to the criminal complaint, the homeowner, Randall Policht, was seated in his living room when he was suddenly thrown from his chair by the impact of the truck, which ended up partly embedded in the front of the house.
Policht was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with minor injuries to his back and leg.
