New Berlin police have put out an alert that a scammer is calling people asking for donations to the New Berlin Fire Department.
Neither the New Berlin Fire nor Police Department is soliciting donations by phone, police said.
Anyone with information, such as name or phone number of the caller, is asked to call the New Berlin Police Department, (262) 782-6640.
