Tara Tiede and Erik Dustrude of Indianapolis were married April 14, 2012, at St. Mary's Parish in Appleton.

Parents of the bride are Jerry and Martha Tiede of Appleton. The groom's parents are Thomas and Joanne Dustrude of New Berlin.

Rachel Tiede of Appleton, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Krista Raith of Kaukauna and Katie Alger of Madison.

Matthew Dustrude of Madison, brother and best friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Dan Wackwitz of Iowa City, Iowa, and Scott Banach of New Berlin. Ushers were Dan Sanicola of Waukesha, Jason Tiede of Appleton and John Marquez of Appleton.

The bride is an adoption counselor for the Humane Society in Indianapolis.

Erik is attending the Indiana University School of Medicine.

The two are planning a honeymoon in Aruba.

The couple met in 2007 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where both earned their bachelor's degrees in biology.
