Matthew and Rachel (Hagen) Kwapick of New Berlin are the parents of Brayden Robert Kwapick, born Sept. 20, 2011. He was 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and 21 inches long. Grandparents are Robert and Catherine Kwapick of New Berlin and Conn and Kristeen Hagen of Milwaukee. Great-grandparents are Raymond and Anne Butrym of Fox Point, Floyd Keierleber of the town of Brookfield, and Joseph Kwapick of West Allis.
Tom and Melisa (Peters) Cash of Maple Grove, Minn., are the parents of Jason Thomas Cash, born Aug. 30, 2011. He was 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and 20.5 inches long. Grandparents are Brad and Robin Peters of New Berlin and Tom and Jane Cash of Blaine, Minn. Great-grandparents are Joe and Shirley Peters of Cedarburg, Marian Kujawa of Franklin, Hank and Harriet Cash of St. Cloud, Minn., and Earl and Irene Jacobson of Crystal, Minn.
Alyson and Tony Feltes of New Berlin are the parents of twin daughters, Scout Elizabeth Feltes and Mackenzie Alexandra Feltes, born Sept. 19, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. Scout was 5 pounds and 17 inches long. Mackenzie was 5 pounds, 5 ounces, and 18 inches long.
SCHOOLSCENE
Nicholas Klinka and Nicholas Spoerk, Muskego High School seniors, have been named the semifinalists in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program - an honor achieved by fewer than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors - after taking the 2010 Preliminary sat/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. Also, Kayla Farner, Rebecca Horwath, Ryan Johnson-Evers, Sebastian Miller and Jacob Varsos have been named Commended Students.
