Kristi Windsperger of New Berlin earned her master's degree in human services, Melissa Boldt of New Berlin her master's degree in exercise science and sports studies, and Channel Fitzpatrick of New Berlin her bachelor's degree in human services, from Springfield College in Massachusettes in December.

Nicholas Young of New Berlin earned a master's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December.

Andrew Haffemann of New Berlin earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering in December.

The artwork of Erica Rodenbeck of New Berlin will be displayed as part of a Seasons exhibition through March 7 at Beloit College's Wright Museum of Art. Rodenbeck, the daughter of Alfred and Carol Rodenbeck, is a senior anthropology major.

SCHOOLSCENE

Muskego Veterans of Foreign Post 8171 honored the following high- and middle-school students who participated in essay competitions: Ariana Czaplewski, a senior at Muskego High School, was honored for her outstanding audio-essay in the Voice of Democracy competition, with the theme "Is There Pride in Serving in Our Military?" Middle-schoolers Tommy Anderson earned first place, Rachel McKay second and Paul Kobie third in the Patriot's Pen essay contest, with the theme "Are You Proud of Your Country?"

Air Force Staff Sgt. Michael E. Guhr has arrived for duty as an Air Force recruiter assigned to the Plover recruiting office. The staff sergeant, the son of Bryan and Lynda Guhr of Muskego, has served in the military for nine years.

Tom Jocz of New Berlin has been named president of the employee benefits group at Diversified Insurance Services of Brookfield. Jocz has been with Diversified Insurance Services for 16 years and is a shareholder.
