Melissa Batzner and Brian Krische of New Berlin were married Oct. 29, 2011, at the Church of the Gesu on the Marquette University campus in Milwaukee.
Parents of the bride are Jerry and Mary Batzner of New Berlin. The groom's parents are Joseph and Joann Cox of Watertown.
The Rev. Joseph Kappes officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.
The bride wore a chiffon strapless gown with a ribbon corset. She carried purple calla lilies.
Amber Wilke of New Berlin, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Batzner of New Berlin, Anne Krische of Minneapolis, Anne Tobin of Menomonee Falls, and Sara Zoellick of Watertown.
William Kerr of Watertown, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jack Batzner of New Berlin, Phil Batzner of New Berlin, Pradeep Dandu-Hyderabad of India, and Matt Belter of Watertown.
The bride earned her bachelor's degree in business administration-marketing from Marquette University. She is a marketing communications specialist with Niceware International in Brookfield.
The groom earned his bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering, also from Marquette University. He is a test engineer with Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee.
The couple took a one-week honeymoon in Aruba, where they enjoyed scuba diving.
The two met through a mutual friend while they were both freshman at Marquette University. They dated throughout college and became engaged right before graduation. They share an interest in traveling and scuba diving.
