Rachel Sheard and Nathan Girardin were married at 3 p.m. on June 5, 2009, in Cancun, Mexico.

Parents of the bride are Mike and Joanne Sheard, Burlington. Parents of the groom are Mark and Debbie Chupa, Muskego.

A 2 p.m. reception was held at Greenfield Park in Milwaukee on June 13.

The bride wore a V-neck gown with a beaded empire waist and a fit and flare skirt with beaded embellishments. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and stargazer lilies.

Maid of honor was Amanda Sheard, Burlington, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Abby Hosig of Madison and Kelly Sullivan of Burlington.

Best man was Jason Pecanac, Greenfield, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Kyle Boers of Whitewater and Gideon Shleeter of Houston.

The bride, who attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is a teaching assistant at Heyer Elementary School in Waukesha and a sales clerk at Wal-Mart.

The groom, who also attended UW-Whitewater, is an accountant at Kolb & Co.

The couple resides in Waukesha.
