The Fur (& Feather!) Flyer

Established in 1965, HAWS assists over 6,000 animals and welcomes more than 31,000 human visitors annually. As an "open admissions" shelter we lead the community in animal welfare and assure sanctuary for all animals in need, regardless of age, health or temperament. HAWS is a non-profit, entirely donor-fund organization with an active humane education program, and both wildlife and companion animal rescue services for Waukesha County.

Go ahead and's for the animals!

HAWS, Humane Animal Welfare Society, shelter, Taco John's, nachos, Nachos Navidad

To celebrate the holiday season, Taco John’s is again partnering with HAWS and will donate a portion of each Nachos Navidad purchased through Christmas Day to the Waukesha shelter. TJ cares with great food for a great cause!

To supplement the proceeds from Nachos Navidad®, Taco John’s, 317 N. Grand Ave, Waukesha, will also have change containers in the store to collect donations, as well as Christmas ornaments available for purchase. The festive Nachos Navidad®, adorned with red and green chips, has helped support charities in the past, making it a popular holiday tradition among patrons.

“This is the third year that Taco John’s has partnered with HAWS. We see a following when our Nachos Navidad® promotion starts,” Taco John’s Unit Manager, Dusty Stiefel said. “It’s great to see so many people get excited when we introduce them each holiday season, and we’re hoping this excitement will help us raise a generous donation for HAWS.” Taco John’s goal is to raise more than $2,000 – the amount raised in 2012. “We’re thankful for the community support during the Nachos Navidad® promotion.”

“We’re incredibly grateful to Taco John’s and their continued support of HAWS through these fundraisers,” said Lynn Olenik, HAWS’ Executive Director. “Support like this from our community means so much to us – and we really enjoy working with Dusty and her staff. They are great friends to HAWS!”

By the way - HAWS will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will resume regular hours on Friday, November 29.  Have a great holiday!
