Citizen's Academy Alumni Association Partners with Texas Roadhouse for Fundraiser
The Texas Roadhouse in New Berlin, located at 15425 W. Rock Ridge Road, is hosting a fundraiser for the newly re-formed New Berlin Police Citizen's Academy Alumni Association on Monday, July 11th.
On that day, 10% of all of your food purchase will be donated to the Alumni Association when you present a flier that can be printed off when you go the Association website at: www.nbpcitizensacademy.org
Scams Targeting the Elderly Still Prevalent in New Berlin
While scams targeting the elderly have been around for decades, these four scams listed below have been active in New Berlin and surrounding areas in the last year or so. Several of these cases have involved elderly residents losing thousands of dollars to these unscrupulous individuals.
We are asking that if you have an elderly friend, neighbor, or relative, that you please talk to them about these scams and advise them to call a trusted relative before they part with any of their money or identifying information, such as a Social Security number of a bank account number.
