Recent Change in Hunting Ordinance Restricts Firearm Use
At its October 28th meeting, the City of New Berlin Common Council adopted changes to ordinance 121-2 entitled "Discharge of Firearms Restricted." Shotgun hunting is no longer permitted within the city except for the sole purpose of destroying wild animals and birds causing damage to growing agricultural crops. Any person who wishes to discharge a shotgun in the city for that purpose must first obtain permission from the landowner, and a permit from the Chief of Police.
