The District Announces Kreutzer's Resignation--- Now What?
The notice dated May 2 that the District of New Berlin posted on its Website conveys that Superintendent Kreutzer submitted his resignation with the New Berlin School District effective on June 30, 2011 and will continue to serve as Superintendent of schools until that date. The board will be formally acting on his resignation at a future meeting. Dr. Kreutzer has accepted a position with the Katonah-Lewisboro school district.
The notice also states:

An announcement dated May 2 on the District of New Berlin Web site says Dr. Kreutzer submitted his resignation effective on June 30, 2011 and will continue to serve as Superintendent until that date. It also states, “The school board is finalizing a succession plan for the position of the superintendent. A transition plan is being finalized that will take advantage of Dr. Kreutzer’s remaining time of service.” See my previous blog post.

Succession? That word brings to mind royalty or rulers.
The Multiple Reprehensible and Criminal Attacks Against the Mayor
After watching a WTMJ4 TV broadcast last week regarding New Berlin Mayor Jack Chiovatero being targeted by vandals, I called the mayor’s office. When I spoke with the mayor, I asked him about the incidents and sequence of events. Mayor Chiovatero spoke of the following:
1. Last May, a sign containing a racial slur was erected in his yard and was visible from the road.
