State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Wisconsin on Pace to Break Exports Record
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) announced Wisconsin through the first three quarters of 2012 exported $17.4 billion worth of products, a path to the largest Wisconsin product exports. Morningstar Ranks Wisconsin Retirement System Strongest and Illinois System Weakest
Morningstar, an investment research firm, reports the Wisconsin Retirement System has a 99.8% funded ratio with a liability of $23 per resident, while Illinois has the worst of all 50 states with a 43.4% funded ratio and a liability of $6,503 per resident. Badgers Play In Rose Bowl Today
For the second straight season, the Wisconsin Badgers are playing for the granddaddy of all college bowl games. The Rose Bowl kicks off at 3:30 PM today, with the No. 9 Badgers playing the No. 6 Oregon Ducks. The game will be televised on ESPN. The radio broadcast can be found locally on 620 WTMJ AM.

Governor Declares State of Emergency in Response to Severe Winter WeatherToday, Governor Walker issued an Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency in response to the upcoming winter storm. Heavy snowfall and strong winds are expected to be moving across the state beginning December 19, 2012. The Executive Order will ready the Wisconsin Emergency Management, the Wisconsin National Guard, the State Patrol, and other Wisconsin state agencies.
