State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

(MADISON) – State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) and state Representative Jeff Stone (R-Greendale) congratulate Franklin High School Principal Mike Cady who has been named 2010 Wisconsin High School Principal of the Year by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators. Franklin is in Lazich and Stone’s districts.

“This award given by Mike Cady’s peers is a testament to Mike Cady’s outstanding leadership and the standards of excellence he has established at Franklin High School, “ said Lazich. “Mike Cady is a terrific example of the great Franklin community.”

"The recognition that this award brings to Mike Cady and the school system is well deserved," commented Stone. "The community as a whole should take great pride in knowing that this is the standard we expect and receive from our Franklin schools."

Cady is in his sixth year at Franklin High School after serving as the associate principal at Pewaukee High School for three years. Cady also was the Dean of Students at Nicolet Union High School and a social studies teacher at Pewaukee High School. He began his teaching career during 1994 as a social studies teacher at Pulaski High School in Pulaski, Wisconsin.

Cady has also been selected as Wisconsin’s High School Met Life/NASSUP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) Principal of the Year. NASSUP and Met Life will honor Cady and all State Principals of the Year at a national symposium during October 2010 in Washington, D.C.
