Observations

Ray McInerny, Sr., and his wife Jean, have lived in New Berlin for 32 years.  A retired graphic artist, he now paints for his own enjoyment. This blog will attempt to present items of general interest to his New Berlin neighbors.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

To all who have responded to my blogs this past half year I'd like to wish each and everyone of you a very peaceful, happy and Merry Christmas. It has been  most interesting for me to follow the blogs and read the comments. Few have been harsh on the writers, many have been most thoughtful, and I suspect some with tongue in cheek.

The free exchange of ideas is vital to a healthy society. I've named my blog "Observations" because that is what I have intended. I  observe what's happening here in town, around the county and the nation. My expression of that observation is how I see things. I appreciate the responses to my observations and hope that they continue.

I have enjoyed hearing from Linda and Ralph and Keith; Had to Comment; geno53151; Doug Judy; 53146; Mark Musselman; Evie53151; Taxed too much; Stunned; The Comedian; Tim Williams and Henry O and Badger Bob and reading your comments. My wish for you and everyone reading these blogs is to have a very productive and great New Year in 2010.

For the rest of this week I will be preparing for Christmas with members of my faith community, my neighbors so dear to my wife and me, and our fine family here in New Berlin. Our extended families spread throughout the nation are included in our best wishes also. And, to the larger community of New Berlin I hope that peace and tranquility is yours. If we're unable to love one another as we should in the coming year my wish is that we can at least all begin to understand one another a little better.

God Bless. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year
