Here is an update from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for the I-94 NORTH-SOUTH freeway project:

Construction update November 30 –December 6:
I-94 North-South Freeway Project update for Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties

All closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
New long-term closures are BOLD.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY

Monday, NOVEMBER 30

Full Closure of EB Layton entrance loop ramp to I-94 WEST (NB) 7am - 12/7 at 7pm

Double Lane Closure I-894 EB at 27th St. (taper starts at 35th) 9:30pm – 5:30am

Single Lane Closure of SB 27^th Street dual left turn onto Layton 6am-4pm

Tuesday, DECEMBER 1

Full Closure of EB Layton entrance loop ramp to I-94 WEST (NB) until 12/7 at 7pm

Full Closure of NB 27th to WB 894 Entrance Ramp 8pm – 5:30am

Double Lane Closure I-894 EB at 27th St. (taper starts at 35th) 9:30pm – 5:30am

Double Lane Closure I-894 WB at 27th St. (taper starts at 20th) 9:30pm – 5:30am

Single Lane Closure NB 27th Street from Layton to Whitaker 6am - 4pm

Wednesday, DECEMBER 2

LONG TERM CLOSURES IN MILWAUKEE COUNTY
- Single Lane Closure SB and NB 27^th Street between Layton and Bottsford until late December

- I-894 WB to SB 27th Street exit ramp Opens 12/4 by 5pm

- SB 27th Street entrance ramp to EB I-894 Opens 12/4 by 5pm

- I-894 EB exit ramp to 27th Street Opens 12/4 by 5pm

- Double lane closure SB 27th St between Layton Ave. and Bottsford Ave; both directions of traffic will travel on the new 27th St NB Bridge over I-894/I-43 reopens 12/4 by 5pm

- Access to 27th St from Bottsford closed. Access from 27th St to Bottsford open for NB right turn only reopens 12/4 by 5pm

- Full Closure of EB Layton entrance loop ramp to I-94 WEST (NB) 11/30 at 7am until 12/7 at 7pm

RACINE AND KENOSHA COUNTIES

Monday, NOVEMBER 30

Thursday, DECEMBER 3

I-94 WEST (NB) WI/IL State Line to WIS 50 Long-term Lane Closure Reopens at 5:30am

Friday, DECEMBER 4

Only long term closures in effect.

Saturday, DECEMBER 5

- Single Lane Closure I-94 WEST (NB) Russell Rd to Des Plaines River Reopens 12/3 at 5:30am

- Full Closure of I-94 EAST (SB) entrance and exit ramps at County G Reopens 12/1

- Full Closure of I-94 EAST (SB) exit ramp at County G Weigh Station Reopens 12/1

- Full Closure of County G bridge over I-94 until Reopens 12/1
