Observations
Ray McInerny, Sr., and his wife Jean, have lived in New Berlin for 32 years. A retired graphic artist, he now paints for his own enjoyment. This blog will attempt to present items of general interest to his New Berlin neighbors.
Thankful by the dozen - and then some!
First, I'm thankful for my wonderful wife of 62 years.
Second, I'm thankful for our sons, and our two fantastic daughters-in-law.
Third, I'm thankful for our five great grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Fourth, I'm thankful for my siblings, nieces, nephews, and in-laws
Fiffh, I'm thankful and grateful for the bounty I've enjoyed for many years.
Sixth, I'm thankful our church has a new Archbishop of Milwaukee.
Seventh, I'm thankful and grateful so many churches and civic organizations are doing all they can to provide some assistance to the neighbors in need this Thanksgiving.
Eighth, I'm thankful for the nice city we're privileged to live in.
Ninth, I'm thankful to all those who remain interested in political affairs, local and national, and who try to affect the over-all good by doing something they believe is positive.
Tenth, I'm thankful for our weather regardless of what we get. Enjoying our extraordinary weather reinforces our belief in God, and all his blessings.
Eleventh, I'm thankful we have a country, largely free from tyrany so far, and capable of providing for the general welfare of it's citizens.
Twelfth, I'm just thankful for a wonderful life, with a wonderful wife, family, friends and neighbors who make all our troubles seem like little ones. God bless America. I will continue to be thankful if every one of my neighbors, near and far, is able to find work, feed their families and praise the Creator for giving them all they need. Thank you, God!

Ray, i'll add one more to the list. I am thankful for the men and women in the Military who are sacrificing their lives, and are spending time away from their loved ones this Thanksgiving. They are protecting our country so that we may spend a peaceful Thanksgiving at home. May God Bless Them.

How very true. Thank you for adding them to the list. Without them we wouldn't have wonderful Thanksgiving holidays. Hope you have a good one, Geno.
