The Wisconsin Department of Transportation urges motorists to plan ahead this July 4th weekend as they travel through the I-94 North-South Freeway Project.  Motorists should give themselves extra time to get to their destination or considering adjusting their departure time, as normal holiday travel is expected to add to the number of vehicles on the road this weekend.

Work zones in the I-94 North-South Freeway Project area that may affect travels during the July 4th holiday period include:

- I-94 south of WIS 50 in Kenosha County: One lane closed and two lanes open in each direction south of WIS 50 in Kenosha County to the Illinois-Wisconsin state line

- I-894/I-43 between the Mitchell Interchange (I-94, I-894, and I-43) and S. 27th Street in Milwaukee County: Westbound (right) lane closed and three lanes open west of the Interchange

- Ramp closures including: I-894/I-43 ramps at S. 27th Street, I-94 at College Avenue, I-94 at Kenosha County E, I-94 at WIS 158, and I-94 southbound at WIS 165

Visit www.plan94.org for the latest project and construction information to help you plan ahead, drive safely, and move forward this holiday weekend.
