Hal's Harley- Davidson, which is located at 1925 S. Moorland Rd, New Berlin, is advertising free photos with Santa on Saturday, December 4 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Santa can also be sighted at New Berlin’s Christmas Parade, which rolls down National Avenue at 3 pm on Dec. 4. The parade is being sponsored by Holiday Inn Express and La Quinta Hotels in partnership with the Prospect Lions Club.
On Sept. 16, I emailed New Berlin School District Superintendent Dr. Kreutzer a request to inspect:
- Ross McPherson’s employment contract. He’d been the District’s Coordinator of Financial Services
- Roger Dickson’s employment contract (Director of Financial Services)
- Work, pay agreement/contract Roger Dickson signed when hired as the District’s “interim” financial services director.
- Work, pay agreement/contract of Peter Balzer (Accounts payable)
I expressed a desire to inspect the records as soon as possible and indicated that I would come to the District Office—or elsewhere in the District if they’d prefer--to view the records.
Whether anonymous blog commenter “Intrigued” makes things up out of ignorance, biased/delusional thinking, or willful intent to deceive the public, his recent wacky attacks against two-term Alderman William Moore who just announced he will not be seeking a third term, compel a response.
For example, to the Dec. 6 New Berlin Now news article titled Alderman will retire with a message, “Intrigued” posted the bizarre comment: “Moore took advantage of Chiovatero becoming Mayor and with name recognition (even if defeated prior) became Alderman…..”
An announcement on the New Berlin School District’s Web site says:
New Berlin Elementary Schools Present: Breakfast with Santa.
When I looked at the District of New Berlin's Web site at 12: 15 pm today, I noticed an announcement that Glen Park Elementary School was closed today Dec. 14.
That announcement provided no explanation for the closing.
Sequel to my Dec. 12 blog post -----
As I previously remarked, the New Berlin School Board President (John Kegel) also serves on the Board of the Educational Foundation of New Berlin. When the New Berlin Board of Education was at New Berlin West School on Nov. 22 for its regular school board meeting, a Director/Officer of the Educational Foundation (Carol Wirth) gave Kegel two letters. One of those letters was Ms. Wirth’s official resignation from the Foundation Board of Directors and the other cited her reasons for resigning. Both letters were addressed to the New Berlin School Board/ John Kegel.
