Rotary brings Kids from Wisconsin to New Berlin

More than 400 people attended a roaring production of the Kids from Wisconsin at New Berlin West High School August 22. Among the 33 performers were Issac Surprenant of New Berlin, who plays bass guitar, and Kyle Johnson-Evers of Muskego, on woodwind. Since its 46 years of existence, this was the first time for this super talented group of musicians, singers and dancers to appear in New Berlin. Each year the young musicians, selected from various parts of Wisconsin, are headquartered at State Fair Park. It is amazing that they spend only 17 days there "in camp" before presenting their first concert. In addition to appearing daily during the 10 days of the fair, they are performing throughout the state. Rotary Club members now are planning to continue sponsoring the Kids as an annual New Berlin event.
