State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. June 24, 2013, Governor Walker signed into law 2013 Wisconsin Act 17 allowing a veteran applying for a motor vehicle operator’s license or identification card to have his or her veteran status indicated on the license or card.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation provides a website with information about applying for the veteran identifier on driver licenses or identification cards.
