Resolution to Exceed Revenue Limit for Energy Efficiency Projects: The Board approved a resolution to exceed the revenue limit on a non-recurring basis for debt service payments on energy and operational efficiency measures.
2013-14 Tax Levy & Budget: The Board approved a property tax levy in the amount of $47,490,440 to support the 2013-14 budget. Operations Officer Roger Dickson shared that this was the levy presented at the annual meeting/budget hearing in August. The school board discussed their authority to raise the levy an additional $304,000, but did not feel it would be fiscally responsible to do so. Dickson also shared that while Governor Walker added $100 million to the state aid formula, New Berlin only received an addition $623 in state aid because it is a property rich district.
