The favorable credit rating is resulting in an interest rate below 3% and great interest among lenders in the district’s debt issue.
The Board discussed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) recommended by the New Berlin Police Department that would allow off-duty New Berlin police officers to carry concealed firearms on campus to enhance safety and security for the district community and guests. The MOU would create a necessity to revise Policy 5129. These items will be action items on the October 14 Board agenda.
Chief Finance & Operations Office Roger Dickson shared that as part of the Long-range Facilities Planning process, the district is in discussions with the City about possibilities to share facilities, construction and maintenance costs to benefit taxpayers and both organizations.
