NBCRG Endorses Dave Ament for New Berlin Mayor
NBCRG has endorsed Dave Ament for Mayor and would like to take this opportunity to ask New Berlin voters to vote for Dave Ament for Mayor of the City of New Berlin on Tuesday, April 2nd.
Dave has been a leader in the New Berlin community for many years, as well as the 7th District Alderman since 2001. He also runs a successful New Berlin business.
He led the fight for 24/7 fire and paramedic services at all four of New Berlin's firehouses. Dave worked with the fire chief and other members of the Common Council on a cooperative agreement with the city of Brookfield to provide improved fire protection for the New Berlin Industrial Park and the northeast and northwest portions of our city.
Dave will control taxes and spending with a property tax levy freeze. He led the Council to control city property taxes to a near 0% levy increase over the past five years, even as the current mayor proposed budgets that would have increased our tax bills by almost 25% during that same five year period. Because of Dave's work, New Berlin's bond rating increased from Aa1 to Aaa. The reason New Berlin City's tax rate is as low as it is, is because the majority of the Council saw the wisdom of controlling spending.
Dave will use his leadership and experience to work with the Council, staff, and the private sector to develop a comprehensive plan to revitalize the City Center and will actively work to improve our City's image.
