Information for the New Berlin community on school district news, events, and celebrations of success.
To create revenue that will fund projects identified in the long-range facilities planning process, the School District of New Berlin Board of Education will accept offers to purchase surplus real estate previously approved for sale by taxpayers.
A community feedback session on Feb. 25 offered a presentation on the district's surplus properties, and opportunities for comments, questions and suggestions on the disposal of the properties listed below.
• 5330 S. Racine Avenue – old Prospect Hill School
• Northeast Corner of Small and South Calhoun Roads – approximately 10 vacant acres
• 800 feet South of Beres Road / East side of Martin Road – approximately 20 vacant acres
The district plans to advertise the sale in early March with selection of the best and highest offer by mid-April.
Minimum bids will likely be recommended at the next Board meeting on March 11.
