State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Reconstruction Work Begins, Greenfield Avenue Bridge Over I-894/US 45During the week of January 21, 2013, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to begin removal of the Greenfield Avenue bridge over I-894/US 45. Traffic changes in the area include closure of Greenfield Avenue between 106th Street and 96th Street. The eastbound on-ramp to northbound US 45 and the eastbound/westbound on-ramp to southbound US 45 will also be closed. Greenfield Avenue from 97th Street to 98th Street and 101st Street to 106th Street will be open to local/business traffic only.
