State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Wisconsin Eye is scheduled to provide live coverage of a joint public hearing by the Senate Committee on Workforce Development, Forestry, Mining, and Revenue and the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economy, and Mining about mining bills; Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) and companion bill, Assembly Bill 1 (AB 1). The hearings are scheduled to begin today, January 23, 2013, at 9:00 AM and scheduled to end after the last testimony or 9:00 PM.
