Hey Walker, Wisconsin Has Nation's Largest Increase in New Applications for Unemployment Benefits!


Remember Scott Walker's campaign promise to create 250,000 jobs during his term?

But since his election, he's  seemed more focused on politics than jobs.

And in today's news:   Wisconsin has the nation's biggest jump in new jobless benefit  claims! 

WTAQ  reports:

" U.S. labor officials said Thursday that almost 5,900 Wisconsin workers filed benefit applications during the week ending November 24th.  That's more than twice as many as second-place Oregon."

And what's happening nationally?    

  Thinkprogress  posted the following newsflash  this morning:

"The American economy added 146,000 jobs in November and the unemployment rate fell to 7.7 percent, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Analysts had expected 85,000 jobs to be created. The 7.7 percent unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since December 2008. "
