Art 'N Oddities
I first heard about Art ‘N Oddities from a friend of mine. She had taken a class there once before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. When she spotted a deal on Groupon for a faux mosaic class, she invited me along. I thought “Oh no, another craft class! My house is starting to look like a craft store already, with all the different arts and crafts projects I have going.” But the price, location and the opportunity to have a night out with good company was too good to pass up. It sounded like fun, and I decided to join the ladies and give it a try.
I was a little early, so I waited outside for the gang to arrive. The shop is located in Milwaukee, around 58th and Lincoln. I stood there studying the building, still amazed at how many times I have driven right by and never knew it was there! If not for the specific instructions on where it was located, I would have driven right past this quaint little place.
Quality Time with our Children
Have you ever had a moment where you’ve looked at your child and thought, “Is that really my little boy?” or “Can that young woman really be my daughter?” I recall a time when my son James ran up to me after swimming. For a second I didn’t recognize my own son! Overnight it seemed he had grown several inches! His cheeks slimmed down, and his shoulders were broad like a young man. But just yesterday he had been my little boy!
