Another Big Mouth On Parade
Without a clue of how to improve the plight of working men and women to allow them opportunity for full-time jobs, new placements; putting families back into homes lost through foreclosure; establishing a comprehensive energy policy that works or creating a climate of excitement in looking toward the future this administration and it's media and blogger allies continues on its destructive slant of division and hate.
They've done a good job - you have to hand it to them. Besides suckering in all the weak-kneed Republicans to cascade venom and disdain on Todd Akin, now the guru of the last Bush Administration is joining the fray with a much more stupid remark, matching his political prowess I guess.
The candidate for weight watchers, Karl Rove, shoots from the hip and lip by saying about Todd Akin to an audience at the Tampa Club:
"We should sink Todd Akin. If he's found mysteriously murdered, don't look for my whereabouts!"
Where is the outrage from the left and right? This didn't even make it into the lame stream press which indicates to me Rove is nothing more than a eastern insider with little more allegiance to the Republican Party than his ignorant lip service showed with this remark. Every Police Chief in the country should be on Rove's case. Every major Religion should remind ole Karl about the Ten Commandments. No, just apathy and silence from most of us until there's another big incident we can all pounce on.
Haven't there been enough wholesale murders of innocent people without some jackass political smartypants making a remark like that. He should be driven out of the Republican leadership. He wants to make sure a prominent member of the House, running for the Senate, should be "offed" and the crowd of indignation is allowing him a free pass.
I call on Romney, Ryan , Walker, Prebius, and any Republican with a backbone to respond with the same vitriol they heeped on Akin. Obama, Holter and his group could send this boob back to the hills of Texas with some well-chosen words of indignaton. They were all quick to pounce on Todd Akin with so much intensity of outrage that their silence now is telling. Where are all the big shot Dems who dropped all over Akin?
Akin said, and I'm sure none of them knew in full what he said:
"From what I understand from doctors, that's( conception as a result of rape) really rare. If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume that maybe that didn't work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist, and not attacking the child."
Gasp! Horror! How Awful! His best response to the question asked of him should have been that less than 2% of pregnanacy accurs from rape and incest. Dr. Jane M. Orient, M.D. executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons suggests that political demogoguery is replacing science. She says that this is not a scientific dispute about numbers, or the definition of "really rare." James C. Willke, M.D., general practitioner with obstetric training agrees with Dr. Orient. Diana West, author of "The Death of Grown-up: How America's Arrested Development Is Bringing Down Western Civilization," also agrees with Dr. Orient. Just a few I've found who said that Akin made the mistake of not using the FBI designation of "forcible." instead calling it "legitimate." But why should saner voices prevail?
And now to show the hypocrisy of the Democrats there main speaker at the convention will be none other than the serial rapist we had as president. William Jefferson Clinton will likely be met with warm applause and accolades when he speaks. There will be cheers and clapping, balloons falling from the sky, noise makers happily giving him a great invitation to speak.
What this man did to Monica Lewinski is beyond the pale. To prey on and intice women into compromising positions to satisfy his passions and the subsequent education of young girls who were lead to believe this was the way to go is gross and demeaning. Did any of the screamers for resignation appeal to Clinton for him to step aside? No! We placidly sat idle as the list of victims was revealed and nothing was done. Aside from Monica Lewinski there was Juanita Broaddrick who accused him of rape; Eileen Wellstone (Oxford) accused him rape; Elizabeth Ward Gracen - rape; Regina Hopper Blakely says he forced himself on her; Kathleen Wiley (WH) sexual assault; Kathy Bradshaw (AK) sexual assault; Cristy Zercher had an unwecomed sexual advance; Gennifer Flower, Dolly Kyle Browning, Sally Perdue, Betty Dalton, Denise Reeder and numerous other incidents mentioned in Alamo Girl.com. And then Paula Jones who almost single-handidly brought him down - with no help from the pro choice crowd either.
This is the Dems real answer. Choice. But not for the child. The so-called party of women might have been a whole lot stronger if there weren't so many abortions. How many abortions were women? How many would have voted for Dems? Like Becke on Foxl so many are using the "F-bomb" that it indicates the disdain the Dems really have for women.
The Dems in this election have nothing to offer except division, envy, greed, sloth and dependency on the federal government as their only answer. And outright distortion of the opposition. Lying is there forte.
The real answer to help our country is in their own slogan of past years and they haven't the faintest idea how to make it happen - or don't want to.
IT IS: "It's The Economy, Stupid!"
