State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Government Accountability Board Requests More Funding

The Government Accountability Board (GAB) filed a request with the Joint Finance Committee for $404,500 in additional funding also known as General Purpose Revenue (GPR) to help the agency to fund its current expenditures and debts for the 2012 statewide and State Senate recall petition count. The GAB estimates the total cost of processing 2012 recall petitions at $975,000. Here is a link to the Government Accountability Board's request:
