DNR Announces Deer Hunter Forums Around the State and on the Internet

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) scheduled meetings about deer management and deer hunting. According to the DNR, the March 2012, deer hunter forums will connect the public with a local biologist responsible for managing the deer herd. The meetings are intended to gather information about deer from hunters, and to provide information about deer management.

The format of meetings will vary, including the local wildlife biologist providing a presentation followed by question and answer. Some meetings may have open house format, allowing attendees to stop in anytime during the scheduled meeting time. People are encouraged to attend any of the meetings.

Available March 5 through 30 at this link, http://dnr.wi.gov/ will be an interactive map. At the website, a person may view information specific to a deer management unit. Following the viewing, there will be a survey that may be completed online.
