The orange road construction barrels will not be going away; however, road construction will be put on hold this weekend. According to a state Department of Transportation press release, most road construction will cease at noon Friday, September 2, and will not resume until 6:00 AM Monday, September 6.
The DOT encourages drivers to drive safe through construction zones, because higher traffic volume may cause some problems.
