Informational Highway 83 meetings tomorrow, December 15, 2010
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold two information meetings about the reconstruction of Highway 83.
DOT provides the following information:
Two public meetings scheduled for WIS 83 in Waukesha County
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Regional Office in Waukesha is conducting two public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 83 in Waukesha County. The meetings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mukwonago Village Hall, 625 South Rochester Street, Mukwonago, that same day. The same information will be provided at both meetings.
The purpose of the meetings is to review proposed roadway improvements and to obtain public input. The meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format with project exhibits on display for review. Personnel from WisDOT will be available to provide information and answer questions.
The proposed project includes the reconstruction of WIS 83 from Henry Street to Washington Avenue, and improvements to the intersections of WIS 83 and County ES, and WIS 83 and County LO. Numerous alternatives will be considered for the intersections including signalized intersections, roundabout options, and cul de sacs on the side streets.
