Goodbye Mr. Maley and Best Wishes
Community NOW editor Mark Maley sent NOW bloggers an email this week informing us that he is no longer with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel/Community Newspapers, and no longer affiliated with the MyCommunityNOW.com Web sites.
Explains Mr. Maley in his email: “After 16 years with the Journal, I have decided to take a position with Patch.com, a subsidiary of AOL that is building 500 local news web sites around the nation and will soon be coming to Wisconsin.”
Mr. Maley also advised us to contact Matt Newman for technical issues or other questions concerning our blogs.
It couldn’t have been easy launching the MyCommunityNOW.com Web sites as Maley did and making periodic adjustments. I am one of the original NOW bloggers. During the four years I’ve been doing my Inside New Berlin blog, there have been several changes to the NOW blogging programs/formats. No doubt those modifications posed a bit of a challenge to Mr. Maley as well as the bloggers. But I must say that in my communications with Mr. Maley regarding blog-related matters, he was invariably courteous, patient, and helpful.
And now he's moving on and will be facing new challenges.
Best wishes to Mark Maley in his new job.
By the way, I didn’t see any reference to Mr. Maley’s departure ---or any of the usual contact information for NOW editorial/management staff—in yesterday’s edition of the Muskego-New Berlin NOW newspaper. Perhaps it will be in next week’s issue.
