Observations
Ray McInerny, Sr., and his wife Jean, have lived in New Berlin for 32 years. A retired graphic artist, he now paints for his own enjoyment. This blog will attempt to present items of general interest to his New Berlin neighbors.
Finding Fault
Pointing fingers and finding fault appears to be the usual and easiest pastime in the flap over Rush Limbaugh expressing his opinion of the law student from Georgetown University.
First of all Ms Fluke was rejected to appear before the Issa Committee on grounds that she didn't have the credentials to guide the committee in its quest to find out if President Obama exceeded his limits with his mandate against religious organizations; the mandate that requires them to offer health insurance to cover contraception, abortion and euthanasia.
Our Great Unifier
Once again our present President has put his foot in his mouth and created an unnecessary firestorm. The case in Florida illustrates very clearly what a racist he is. He has jumped into this killing of a young man in Florida with personal invective and shameless bigotry. In taking sides before the facts are in he might have given strength to the two poverty pimps, Sharpton and Jackson, to jump into the fray. And our Great Unifier is strangely silent when his Black Panther Party has put out a million dollar bounty on the shooter. It seemed as if every politician who was black found some way to make himself/herself heard – again before all the facts were in. Juan Williams and a few others didn't follow suit. Kudos to them.
A year earlier in Florida two British young men were murdered by a man, who according to some news reports, showed no shame or personal remorse for his deeds. This past week he was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing the two visitors in Florida. The dead men were white; the murderer is black.
