The District Forgot A Child?
A parent of a special needs child told me yesterday about the day that the New Berlin School District forgot her child.
On that day, the District had forgotten to pick up her child for school.
The District is supposed to provide that transportation. Surely, the child's IEP requires it.
But it forgot?!!!
According to the parent, when the vehicle to transport her child to school did not arrive, she waited for an hour or so, then called the District and was informed that the District's vehicles were in the process of being painted (" Expect Excellence" ) and that the District had neglected to make alternate transportation arrangements for her child.
Oops.
Wow. It seems the District of New Berlin has its priorities mixed up.
