Nina Bonilla, a student at Eisenhower High School, plays dead during a mock drunken-driving accident April 22 at Eisenhower's football field. Froedtert Hospital put on a mock drunken driving accident for students in grades 10 through 12. Five Eisenhower students were involved in the fake crash. One was airlifted off the field via a Flight for Life helicopter.

West band rocks at competition

Kyle Stevens photo Wauwatosa East High School was the stage of a battle of the bands competition called Launchpad, in which 16 bands from area high school competed. After more than six hours of music, three bands walked away with top honors in the regional competition and advance to the state contest in Madison.

Winners announced
in Mother's Day Contest

Holly Hopton Congratulations to Holly and Ruby Hopton of Milwaukee, who were voted the winners in the MyCommunityNOW.com and MilwaukeeMoms.com Mother-Daughter Look-Alike Contest.Mother and daughter each will receive a $250 savings account courtesy of Johnson Bank.

Johnson Bank Neva and Alexus Pipia of Menomonee Falls took second place and Sandi and Randi Trupke of Milwaukee won third place in the contest, and each will receive a $50 restaurant certificate.
